This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal data when you use our app, Fitcalorie, available on both the App Store and Google Play.

By using Fitcalorie, you agree to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

When you use Fitcalorie, we may collect the following types of information:

Personal Information:

• Email Address: To communicate with you regarding updates, promotions, or customer support.
• Nutrition Data: Age, weight, height, activity level, dietary preferences, and diet goals necessary to create personalized nutrition plans.
• Meal Tracking Data: Your daily food intake, calorie consumption, and nutrition records.
• Meal Images (Scan Feature): Photos of meals captured through camera or selected from gallery for meal analysis purposes. These images are temporarily processed for analysis only.
• Health Data (Optional): Step count, burned calories, and heart rate information from Apple Health or Google Fit.

Third-Party Services

We use OpenAI services for AI chat functionality and meal image analysis (Scan feature). Your chat messages and meal images are processed by these services, but no personal identification information is shared. Only chat content and meal images are analyzed to provide detailed meal information and nutritional insights. Chat conversations and meal images are only temporarily stored during the analysis process and are not kept on our servers or used for any other purposes.

Data Storage and Retention

• Your nutrition data is securely stored on Firebase (Google Cloud).
• Chat history and AI interactions are temporarily processed but not permanently stored on our servers.
• Health data (Apple Health/Google Fit) is only used in the app when you give permission and is not shared with third parties.
• Purchased tokens are valid only during the active subscription period. If your subscription expires, your tokens and scan limits will be reset.
• When you delete your account, all your data is permanently deleted.

How We Use Your Information

We use your data for the following purposes:

• To create personalized nutrition plans
• To provide AI assistant interactions
• To deliver weekly evaluations and analyses
• To communicate with you regarding updates, new features, and customer support
• To improve the user experience by understanding how the app is used
• To send meal time reminders (only when you grant notification permission)

Data Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect your personal information, including using secure storage on Firebase (Google Cloud). However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Sharing Your Information

We do not share your personal information with third parties except as outlined below:

• We share chat content and meal images with OpenAI for AI chat services and meal analysis (no personal identification information is shared)
• We may share data with service providers to support the app, including cloud storage services and payment processing
• Data sharing may occur in accordance with legal requirements

User Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Delete Account: You can delete your account and all associated data (including credits) by clicking the "Delete Account" button in settings. This permanently deletes all your data from our servers.
• Data Access: You can access your personal data stored through the app.
• Data Correction: You can update incorrect or incomplete personal information from the app settings.
• Health Data Control: You can turn off Apple Health or Google Fit integration at any time.

Data Transfer

Your personal information may be transferred to and stored on servers outside of your country. By using our app, you consent to this transfer and storage of your data.

Children's Privacy

While Fitcalorie has no age restrictions and is publicly accessible to everyone, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 12. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child under 12, please contact us to have the information deleted. Users aged 12 and above can use the app without issues, but it is recommended that users under 18 use the app with parental permission.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will post the updated policy in the app and on our website. The effective date of the most recent policy will be indicated at the top of the page.
